Morpheus8 RF Microneedling in Dunn, NC

Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered below the skin's surface. It is used for skin laxity along the jawline and neck, acne scarring, and texture that topical products cannot reach. Most people need three sessions spaced a month apart, performed by a nurse practitioner under topical numbing.

The important distinction

Morpheus8 or Regular Microneedling?

They sound similar and they are not the same treatment. The difference is depth, and what happens once the needle gets there.

What the radiofrequency adds

Standard microneedling creates tiny channels in the skin. Your body reads those as injuries and responds by making new collagen. That works well on the surface — texture, pores, fine lines.

Morpheus8 does all of that, then delivers radiofrequency heat through those channels into the deeper layer, where laxity actually lives. That is why it can address a softening jawline or early jowling, which no topical and no standard microneedling pass will touch.

It is also why it takes more downtime. You do not get to reach the deeper layer for free.

What to expect

The Appointment

We apply topical anaesthetic and leave it to work for about forty-five minutes. That wait is not optional and it is the reason most people describe the treatment as very tolerable.

Treatment itself takes twenty to forty minutes depending on the area. You will feel heat and pressure — warmer than standard microneedling, and more of a deep prickling than a sharp pain.

Allow about ninety minutes in the building for your first session.

Your Downtime

Real but short. Plan it away from anything you care about looking good for.

  • Day 0Redness and warmth, like a strong sunburn. Skin feels tight. No makeup for the rest of the day.
  • Days 1–2Redness settles to pink. A sandpaper texture develops, sometimes with faint grid marks that fade over a few days.
  • Day 3Most people are comfortable back in makeup and back in public.
  • Weeks 4–12Collagen remodelling continues long after the visible healing is done. The final result arrives later than you expect.

Book at least two weeks before an event. Three is more comfortable, and four gives the skin time to look its best rather than merely healed.

The plan

How Many Sessions

Skin treatment device used on the cheek

Three sessions spaced about a month apart is the usual protocol. Some people with significant scarring need four.

Collagen remodelling continues for up to three months after the final session, so the result you are paying for arrives well after the last appointment. This is not a treatment that rewards impatience.

We photograph you under the same lighting before the first session and at every visit after. Month-to-month memory is unreliable and the change is gradual by design — the photographs are how you actually see it.

Questions We Get Asked Most

Is Morpheus8 painful?

With topical numbing most people find it very tolerable. You will feel heat and pressure rather than sharp pain. We numb for about forty-five minutes before starting, and that wait is what makes the difference.

How long is the downtime after Morpheus8?

Redness and a rough texture for two to four days. Most people are back in makeup by day three. Allow two weeks before an event, three if you can.

How many Morpheus8 treatments will I need?

Usually three, spaced about a month apart. Results continue developing for up to three months after your final session as collagen remodels, so the full result arrives later than the last appointment.

Does Morpheus8 work on the neck?

Yes. The neck and jawline are among the most common areas we treat, because the radiofrequency reaches the deeper layer where laxity sits. It also treats the décolleté.

What is the difference between Morpheus8 and microneedling?

Standard microneedling works on the surface — texture, pores, fine lines. Morpheus8 adds radiofrequency heat delivered into the deeper layer, which is what allows it to address laxity and jowling. It takes more downtime as a result.

Is Morpheus8 a substitute for a facelift?

No. It addresses early laxity and can meaningfully soften a jawline, but it does not lift significantly descended tissue. If it will not get you where you want to be, we will say so at your consultation rather than sell you a package.
