Accessibility
Last updated: October 2026
We want everybody to be able to use this website and this practice. We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our working standard. We do not claim the site is perfect — no honest site does — so if something is not working for you, tell us and we will both help you directly and fix it.
What We've Built In
- Text contrastColour combinations are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, on both the dark and the light sections.
- Keyboard navigationLinks, buttons and expandable sections can be reached and operated without a mouse.
- Real headingsPages use a proper heading structure so screen readers can navigate them, rather than text that merely looks like a heading.
- Image descriptionsImages carry alternative text describing what they show.
- Readable at any sizeText reflows and stays legible when zoomed or viewed on a phone, without horizontal scrolling.
- No motion trapsNothing flashes, auto-plays audio, or moves in a way that cannot be stopped.
Where We Know We Fall Short
Two honest caveats, because a statement that claims perfection is not worth reading.
Booking happens elsewhere. Our appointment systems are run by third parties. We have chosen them carefully, but we do not control their accessibility. If you have difficulty booking online, call us on (910) 651-0061 and we will book it for you. That is not a workaround we are embarrassed about — it is a perfectly good way to make an appointment.
Where we find something we cannot fix immediately, we will say what it is and how to get the same information another way.
Visiting the Practice
If you have access needs for your appointment — mobility, hearing, vision, sensory, or anything that would make a visit easier — tell us when you book. We are by appointment only and see one person at a time, which means we can usually adapt a visit around what you need if we know in advance.
If you need information from this site in another format — read aloud over the phone, in large print, or sent another way — ask and we will provide it.
Tell Us If Something Isn't Working
Accessibility feedback is genuinely useful to us, and the fastest way to get something fixed is to tell us it is broken.
If you can, include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. If you were using assistive technology, telling us which one helps us reproduce it.

We aim to respond within [X] business days, and we will tell you what we can do immediately as well as what will take longer.
Please do not include health information in an accessibility message. If your question is about your care, call us or use the patient portal.
If any part of this website or our practice is difficult for you to use, please tell us. We will help you directly while we fix the underlying problem, and no one should have to wait for a website update to get an appointment.
