ABOUT LEXEL AESTHETICS & WELLNESS

Dr. Mary Margaret Hether
Nurse Practitioner

With over 15 years providing healthcare, I offer a unique combination of experience, knowledge, and artistry. I started my nursing career in the Emergency Department in 2009 and continued working clinically while also holding corporate leadership roles in ED contract management and clinical documentation provider education. I completed my nursing degree at Johnston Community College with advanced practice degrees from Winston Salem State University and Ball State University. I have also completed my doctorate in nursing practice from East Carolina University.

I began my aesthetic practice with a concierge model but gained advanced facial anatomy, non-surgical/surgical rejuvenation and management in a busy plastic surgery and aesthetics practice in Fayetteville, NC with Cape Fear Aesthetics and Plastics. I believe that combining multiple aesthetic modalities such as injectables (wrinkle relaxer/dermal fillers), lasers, and medical grade skin care work harmoniously together to become the perfect antidote to aging gracefully.

I am also committed to supporting and partnering with clients on their unique weight loss journeys. My top priorities are building strong relationships and providing the best evidence-based care possible. I'm passionate about health and wellness. I want to provide the tools and medical necessities to help clients reach their individual goals.

My free spirit parallels with the qualities needed to be effective as a compassionate medical provider and continue to evolve my expertise through continuing education.

In my spare time, I enjoy any outdoor excursion, boating, fishing, hiking, and quality time with my husband and 2 daughters at the beach. My daughter's are the inspiration behind the name Lexel Aesthetics; Alexandra & Elouise. My husband retired in 2023 with over 20 years from the U.S. Air Force and is proud to have served his country. I'm a proud tribal member of the Coharie Indian Tribe in Clinton, NC and I embrace my Native American heritage. I want to also recognize and thank my mentor, my friend, my coach, leader and medical director Dr. David Schilinger, M.D.

JANET COLÓN

RN, BSN, CCRN

Janet is a Certified Critical Care Nurse, who although new to the world of aesthetics is not new to fitness, customer service, or healthcare.  In her role as a nurse, she has developed a keen eye and skilled hand when it comes to taking care of her patients.

A graduate of NC State in Human Biology, she has experience in coaching and training clients for weight loss and muscle gain.  Having been 210lbs as her max weight herself, she understands that losing weight is not as easy as one might think.  She understands the physical and mental challenges that come with starting something new, and how great it feels to achieve small goals, even if no one else notices.  She hopes that she can help others in areas that she once had to navigate by herself.  She brings with her compassion, understanding, and a non-judgmental attitude.  Her goal is to provide our community the tools and education to be able to enjoy life to the fullest through positive self-image and health at Lexel Aesthetics & Wellness.

In her down time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She loves sitting on the porch watching the rain and swinging in her front yard swing on cool evenings.  She will take you up on any opportunity to be outside, especially near water as long as you don’t mind her taking her 100 SPF sunscreen and religiously reapplying to herself and others around her.

While continuing her full-time ICU nurse role she is excited to have the opportunity to give back to the community in which she lives and is from.
